This Policy applies to harmonic.ai and any other websites, applications, widgets, products, services, and other on- and offline offerings (collectively, the “Services”) owned and operated by Harmonic AI, Inc. and our affiliates and subsidiaries (collectively, “Harmonic”). This Policy covers our treatment of the personal information we gather through our Services.
This Policy does not cover the data practices of third parties that we do not control.
What Data Do We Collect?
The types of information we collect depends on how you use the Services. We also collect publicly available information, as described below.
If you authorize Harmonic to access data maintained in your account with Google via the Google API Services, including data in your Gmail or Google Calendar account, we will only collect and use that data as specified in the Google API Services Usage Disclosure section below.
Information You Provide
We collect personal information you provide to us directly through our Services. For instance, if you request a demo or sign up for updates through harmonic.ai, we will collect your email address to contact you.
Communications with Us
We collect personal information from you when you communicate with us, for example if you email or chat with our team with questions or support requests, we will collect your name, email address, and any personal information included in the body of your message. If you respond to a survey from Harmonic, we will collect the information provided in your response, which may include personal or contact information.
Note that we may also record customer support calls with your permission. If your support call is recorded, you will be notified on the call.
Information We Collect Automatically
We may collect certain information automatically when you use our Services, such as your Internet protocol (IP) address, user settings, MAC address, cookie identifiers, mobile carrier, mobile advertising and other unique identifiers, browser or device information, approximate location derived from IP address, and Internet Service Provider. We may also automatically collect information regarding your use of our Services, such as pages that you visit before, during and after using our Services, information about the links you click, the types of content you interact with, the frequency and duration of your activities, and other information about how you use our Services.

We use cookies, pixels, and similar automatic collection technologies on our Services. The technologies that we use fall into four categories:

How Does Harmonic Use Personal Information?
How we use your personal information depends on how you interact with us. We use personal information for internal purposes, such as:
Providing Services

- Providing access to certain areas, functionalities, and features of our Services
- Answering requests for customer or technical support
- Communicating with you about your account, activities on our Services, and policy changes
- Processing your financial information and other payment methods for products or Services purchased

Automated Decision Making
We may engage in automated decision making, including profiling. Our processing of your personal information will not result in a decision based solely on automated processing that significantly affects you unless such a decision is necessary as part of a contract we have with you, we have your consent, or we are permitted by law to engage in such automated decision making. Google API Services Usage Disclosure
Harmonic deploys Google API Services for its Email and Calendar integration services which allows users to integrate their Email and Calendar accounts with the Harmonic platform to enhance user experience with our Services, as described in Harmonic’s Email and Calendar Integration terms of use.
We will only provide this integration with your explicit consent, which you may revoke at any time. Further, we will only use the data accessed from your Google accounts (collectively, your “Google Account Data”) as permitted by the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, as detailed below. If we wish to use your Google Account Data for any other purpose, we will first obtain your explicit consent to do so.
Google Account Data Accessed
When you choose to integrate your Gmail and Google Calendar accounts with our Services, we will only access and collect the following Google Account Data:
- Gmail. Email subject lines, recipients, and dates of correspondence.
- Google Calendar. Calendar events, dates, and attendees.
Scope and Limitation of Access to Google Account Data
In alignment with Google's API Services User Data Policy, our access to your Google Account Data is limited to the specific purposes of providing our Services to you. We will not access, use, or share your Google Account Data for any purpose other than those clearly outlined in this Policy. We will not display or sell your Google Account Data to any third party or use your Google Account Data for serving advertisements, including retargeting, personalized, or interest-based advertising.
Google Account Data Use and Processing
The Google Account Data we access will be used for the purpose of integrating with the Harmonic platform's features, as further detailed in the Email and Calendar Integration terms of use. We ensure that the use of your Google Account Data is directly relevant to and necessary for the specific Services you have engaged with on our platform. We may also use the Google Account Data to build and improve the quality of Harmonic’s services for the benefit of you and other Harmonic customers. We will not use the Google Account Data for training generalized AI/ML models.
Google Account Data Sharing and Third-Party Access
We do not share your Google Account Data with third parties unless it is necessary to provide the Services you have requested or we are legally obligated to do so. Any third-party service providers we engage with will be bound by confidentiality agreements and will only process your Google Account Data as instructed by us and in compliance with this Policy. In addition, we may transfer your Google Account Data for the following limited purposes: (1) to provide or improve our appropriate access or user-facing features that are visible and prominent in your interface with the Services, and only with your consent; (2) for security purposes (for example, investigating abuse); (3) to comply with applicable laws; or (4) as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets of Harmonic after obtaining your explicit prior consent.
Direct Access to Google Account Data
We do not permit Harmonic employees, consultants or other individuals to read your Google Account Data unless (1) you provide us with explicit consent to view specific messages, files, or other data; (2) it is necessary for security purposes (for example, investigating a bug or abuse); (3) it is necessary to comply with applicable law; or (4) the data (including derivations) is aggregated and used for internal operations in accordance with applicable privacy and other jurisdictional legal requirements.
Google Account Data Security and Confidentiality
We employ industry-standard security measures to protect your Google Account Data and your Google credentials against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our security protocols include encryption, access controls, and secure data storage. We regularly review and update our security practices to safeguard your information.
User Control and Revocation
You have complete control over the integration of your Google accounts with our Services. You can easily manage and revoke access to your Google Account Data at any time through your account settings in the Services or by emailing us at info@harmonic.ai. Once revoked, we will cease to access and store any further Google Account Data from your integrated Google accounts and will delete any previously collected Google Account Data within a reasonable timeframe, as further specified in our Data Retention policy below.
Compliance and Cooperation with Google’s Policies
We acknowledge and adhere to Google's API Services User Data Policy in our use of Google APIs. We will not use, share, or sell your Google Account Data for any purpose other than those stated above and in accordance with Google's policies, as those policies may be updated from time to time. We will cooperate with Google and other relevant authorities to ensure compliance with privacy laws and regulations.
How Does Harmonic Disclose Personal Information?
We disclose personal information in the following limited purposes:
Service Providers
We may share your personal information with third-party service providers who use that information to help us provide our Services, such as IT support, hosting, customer service, and related service providers.
Asset Transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing due diligence, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, purchase or sale of assets, or transition of service to another provider, personal information may be sold or transferred as part of such a transaction, as permitted by law and/or contract.
Protection of Harmonic and Others
We may release personal information when we believe in good faith that release is necessary to comply with the law; enforce or apply our conditions of use and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Harmonic, our employees, our users, or others.

Communication Preferences
You may opt out of emails from us through the unsubscribe link found at the bottom of each email. Note that you may continue to receive transaction-related emails from us.
Cookie Preferences
You may restrict cookies on your device by adjusting your preferences. Note that by restricting cookies, some features or areas of our Services may not work.
Privacy Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights associated with your personal information, including:
- Data Access and Portability: You may request a copy of personal information we have about you in a portable format and/or request us to transfer all or some of this data to a third party.

- Deletion of Data: You may request that we delete personal information we have about you.
